He seeks a treasure,
Pearl nestled in a flower.
The plunder is his.

Alice! Alice! Where have you been?
The tea party is starting
And Dormouse is asleep again!
The Mad Hatter went missing!
I don’t know what to do.
He went to collect a tea-pot,
But it’s been an hour or two.
Alice! Alice! Help if you can!
The table still needs setting!
I want everything spick and span!
The tea cakes are still baking!
Oh! How it went all wrong!
Today’s been such a disaster.
I must face this all night long!
Alice! Alice! Stay if you will.
This party is ruined
And everything has gone downhill.
The forest has now darkened.
The guests are awfully late.
The Mad Hatter is still missing.
We should plan another date.
Alice! Alice! Thank you again.
Now the tea has gotten cold,
I think it’s time to end this then.
Forgive me if I’m being bold.
Now it’s time we all go home.
Leave this all here. It won’t run away.
Tomorrow is but another day.

As the engines fire
The Cars approach the 1st turn
And the Race is on
This is the first haiku written by the son of a friend. It was read in his school and he was so proud. Therefore, he asked if I would post it for him so I told him I would. Any comments will be passed along to him. Enjoy.
